Another Chess Option in Pittsburgh
In a story in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Michael Machofsky reports that "Co-owners Andrew Smiley and Alex Shabalov recently opened the House of Chess in Ross Park Mall, where they host tournaments and sell books, software and supplies."
Instruction is also available from both GM Shabalov and GM Alex Yermolinsky. This is the second venture for the House of Chess - the original store is also in a mall, in Cleveland.
Pittsburgh has been a great chess city for awhile, and now it has another option!
