Steve - You should add www.thechessdrum.net to your list. The creator is Dr, Daaim Shabazz, professor of business at Florida A&M. Daaim has won a CJA award for his work associated with the site, which focuses on, but is not limited to, the achievements of black chessplayers worldwide. He keeps the site current .. it has lots's of photo's, some audio interviews, and lots of interesting historical info.

You're absolutely right. The Chess Drum is an excellent site and appears in my Chess Blogs link.
The "Top Ten Sites" is rather arbitrary and is certainly not meant to exclude other worthy efforts.
